SXS LAUNCH COLLECTION
The launch of SXS began during a return trip to Kathmandu. Being in the Himalayas brings an drive of creative flow. Feeling both natural and instinctive.
While exploring the city and its maze like streets, I encountered an abundance of inspiration. A jewellery supply store stocked with materials such as worn and discarded buffalo horn, traditionally used to make horn hammers, became the starting point for this collection.
Working closely with a father-and-son team of craftsmen, I learned the traditional techniques involved in transforming these materials into the finished pieces. The process and craftsmanship behind the collection can be seen in the images alongside.
This is where Collection Vol. 1 was born.
